Good morning!! What I found through a lot of trial and many, many errors is that you must marry yourself. Marrying yourself is when you decide to enter a relationship with yourself and put a ring on it. In other words you commit to yourself fully to the point where you realize that you are whole, right now! That there is no man, woman, job, or circumstance, that can make you whole because you already are, and this changes your life.
1. You’re gonna love yourself, for richer or poorer: Which means you’re gonna marry yourself, right where you are. Not when you lose 10 lbs, not even after you graduate. Loving yourself as you are now, is the only way to get where you’re going.
2. For better or for worse: most of us are willing to do this for better, but I’m talking about worse. The big life disappointments. Maybe you didn’t get the career, relationship, or home you wanted. But here's the thing when you marry yourself, you get to stay with yourself no matter what
3. In sickness and in health: You forgive yourself for your mistakes. A mistake isn’t actually a failure unless you don’t learn from it or unless you don’t grow! There's a saying “You ask for patience and what you get is a line at the bank” and what that means is that life does not give you what you ask for, but life give you people, places, and situations that allow you to develop what you ask for, and if you don’t get it the first time, LIFE will give it to you again, until you get it.
4. To have and to hold: You love yourself the way you want someone else to love you.
I took myself to the top of the mountain, to the bottom of the ocean and I said “I’ll never leave you” and now I’m really married to the one person I always wanted to be with, myself.
